Postdoctoral Appointee in Meta-Optics Design and Fabrication
We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Appointee position in the field of meta-optics design and fabrication at Hanyang University. The successful candidate will focus on optimizing metasurfaces for a wide range of applications, including large-scale metalenses, AR/VR components, microLED, optical neural networks, and silicon photonics.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement large-scale inverse design algorithms for meta-optical applications or investigate optimal meta-atom designs and their interference patterns. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance research in meta-optics. • Analyze simulated and experimental data using advanced computational methods. • Disseminate research findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences.
Required Qualifications: • Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, with expertise in meta-optics or computational electromagnetics. • Strong publication record in optics, photonics, or electromagnetics. • Hands-on experience in metasurface design and applications, including metalenses, meta-optical displays, etc. • Proficiency in inverse design, metasurfaces, deep learning, and computational techniques. • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data analysis tools. • Proven ability to work both independently and within a collaborative research environment. • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with simulation tools such as COMSOL, Lumerical, Meep, or FDTD codes. • Expertise in inverse design techniques such as adjoint optimization, shape optimization, or machine learning. • Practical experience in metasurface fabrication and characterization.
