Fully-Funded Ph.D. Students – New York University (NYU) Energy and Propulsion Lab The Energy and Propulsion Laboratory (https://wp.nyu.edu/jryu) at New York University (NYU) seeks to recruit multiple Ph.D. students to work on aerospace propulsion systems. The successful applicants will drive a fascinating project on aerospace propulsion systems. Our research interests include high-performance computing, computational fluid dynamics, multi-physics computation/modeling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data-driven modeling, and experiments to understand reactive flows, fuel chemical kinetics, combustion, detonation, and hypersonics for future propulsion systems. There are two different fully funded Ph.D. programs available: Global Ph.D. Fellowship Program (NYU New York) and Ph.D. in Astrophysics & Space Systems (PASS) Program (NYU Abu Dhabi). Tuition, fees, health insurance, and a competitive stipend with additional housing support and home-travel allowance will be provided throughout both programs. Global Ph.D. Fellowship Program (NYU New York) This Fellowship is a unique opportunity to pursue advanced research across the two exciting campuses in New York and Abu Dhabi. Students who receive the Fellowship complete all graduate coursework at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, New York, spend subsequent years working at the Energy and Propulsion Laboratory in NYU Abu Dhabi, UAE, and receive the Ph.D. degree from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, New York upon graduation. • M.S. degree is required. • B.S. and/or M.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields with GPA ≥ 3.5/4.0 for both B.S. and M.S. • All the requirements of the Ph.D. application for the NYU Tandon School of Engineering - TOEFL: ≥ 90, IELTS ≥ 7.0 overall, or Duolingo ≥ 125 - GRE: Optional Ph.D. in Astrophysics & Space Systems (PASS) Program (NYU Abu Dhabi) It is the first program of its kind in the UAE and the wider region.
