미국 박사 컨택 답장

안녕하세요 2027년 가을학기 미국 박사 유학을 준비하는 학생입니다.

논문이나 제출할 것들을 어느정도 정리하고
관심있는 교수님께 이제 컨택메일을 보내려고 합니다.
금일 새벽(미국 시간 오전)에 한분께 연락을 드렸는데
30~40분정도 뒤에 답장이 왔는데 긍정적인건지 여쭤보고자 글 남깁니다.

보낸 메일은 일반적인 형식입니다. CV, 개인 사이트, 관심분야 교수님 논문 읽어보고 ~ 이런내용으로 보냈고
답장은 아래와 같습니다.

Dear [내이름],

Thank you for your email and for your interest in our research. Your work on [연구분야] interesting and relevant to several of the topics we are working on.

PhD admissions in our department are handled first at the departmental level. The department reviews the applications and selects candidates, and the selected applications are then shared with faculty for further consideration.

For me personally, I have not yet decided whether I will be recruiting a new PhD student for Fall 2027. If I do decide to recruit, I can take a closer look at your application at that stage.
