    Yeongin Kim Research Group in Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Cincinnati seeks for PhD students who will work on a project: 3D printing for heterogeneous integration and 3D integrated electronics/optoelectronics.

    This project is focused on 3D printing for heterogeneous integration and 3D integrated electronics/optoelectronics. The project starts from low-cost synthesis of materials, such as ceramic, which has not been studied so far because of difficulty in printing it. Possible target applications of printed devices include low-power electrically-small wireless systems for wearable and implantable devices, cost-effective infrared sources/sensors for light detection and ranging (LIDAR), integrated optoelectronics systems for biomedical applications, textile-based electronics, etc.

  • 연구실 지원 방법

    The opening is available from May 14, 2022 until filled. The admission to PhD program and the adjustment of its start date can be arranged not only for 2022 fall semester but also for 2023 spring semester. The full funding including tuition, stipend, and benefits will be provided. Applicants should submit a CV to Professor Yeongin Kim (kim4yg@ucmail.uc.edu) to initiate the process.
  • 자격 조건

    1) A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials sciences, or related fields. The applicants will be admitted to PhD in Electrical Eng.

    2) Minimum of 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale in their highest degree earned.

    3) For applicants whose native language is not English, one of TOEFL (minimum 92), IELTS (minimum 6.5), Duolingo (minimum 105), or Pearson (minimum 47) is required. Waivers will be automatically given when their earned degree is from one of the listed countries where English is the official language, or waivers will be considered for one of the conditions:

    4) ETS GRE General Test score is required with the exception of any student that receives their bachelor's (BS) degree from an ABET accredited university in the United States with a GPA of 3.0+. Minimum GRE scores (analytical 3.0, quantitative 150, and verbal 145) are recommended but not strictly enforced.
