저희 연구실에서는 불완전한 신체기능을 보완하고 재활을 촉진시키기 위해 신경보철(neuroprosthesis) 및 신경조절(neuromodulation)에 대해 연구하고 있습니다. 또한, 기존의 신경계 동작으로는 얻기 힘든 운동능력을 구현하기 위한 인간증강도 연구하고 있습니다. 이러한 목표들을 달성하기 위해 저희 연구실에서는 새로운 감각을 이용한 감각보정 및 운동재학습을 연구합니다. 신경보철을 더욱 지능적이면서 사용하기 편하게 만들기 위해서 인공신경회로를 개발하고 그것들을 착용형/이식형 장치로 집적하는것은 저희 연구실의 또다른 중요한 연구목표입니다.

Our research interest lies in neuroprosthesis and neuromodulation, to assist incomplete body functions and enhance rehabilitation. We are also interested in human augmentation and performance enhancement in challenging motor tasks. To achieve these goals, we are investigating the sensory recalibration and motor relearning with artificial sensory feedback. Developing smart artificial neural circuits and integrating them as wearable/implantable devices is another crucial part of INPL’s research, which will make the neuroprosthesis more intelligent and user-friendly.
