Our lab focuses on developing breakthrough non-invasive bi-directional (both read-out and write-in) neural engineering technologies for a healthier and longer life. Specifically, we are working on low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU)-mediated neuromodulation, which has exquisite spatial specificity and depth penetrability, for treating various neurological and psychiatric diseases. Also, we are working on developing electroencephalography (EEG)-based brain-machine interface technology for controlling rehabilitative and assistive devices.
