Vision and Learning Lab (PI: Jinwoo Choi) at the Department of Computer Science Engineering, Kyung Hee University, is looking for highly motivated Ph.D.(Sep. 2024~)/Master~Ph.D. intergrated(Sep. 2024~)/Intern(anytime) students. We are working on exciting problems in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and AI. We are especially interested in video understanding, e.g., activity understanding, video representation learning, domain adaptation, and mitigating biases in visual recognition. Our lab is equipped with 24 x A5000, 53 x 3090, and 4 x A6000 as of December 2023. We use an automatic resource manager to efficiently use these GPUs. Also, we have access to Seraph, a gigantic GPU cluster shared across three departments in the College of Software, Kyung Hee University (277 x 3090/A5000/A6000GPUs).

우리 연구실에서 좋은 연구를 하기 위해 필요한 주요 능력은 다음과 같습니다.
* critical thinking: 어떤 현상을 비판적으로 분석할 수 있는 능력
* communication skill: 본인이 말하고자 하는 바를 간단 명료하게 상대방에게 전달하고 상대방이 말하고자 하는 바를 효과적/효율적으로 이해할 수 있는 능력. (written form과 verbal form 모두), 영어 능력도 필요함
* mental health: 연구 중 마주하게 되는 어려운 상황에서 좌절하지 않거나 좌절하더라도 금방 회복할 수 있는 건강한 멘탈/피지컬
* background: math, computer science: 아래에 필수 과목들을 적어두었으니 참고 바랍니다.
* coding: 코딩을 빨리 할 필요는 없으나 깔끔하고 명료하게 짤 수 있어야 하며, 코드를 유지/보수가 쉽도록 모듈화/OOP화 해서 짜는 능력이 필요
* scientific discovery: 실험결과에 대한 과학적 해석 능력 및 실험 설계 능력.


석사/박사과정으로 연구실 지원 전, 아래 관련 course 들을 미리 수강하시길 권유합니다.
